This week is the OFFICIAL 2006 Videoblogging ReRun Week! As it turns out, rerun week occurs very near my vlogging anniversary, so for me, this week of reruns is particularly special and well timed! I’ll be spending this week looking back at my year in vlogging, and thinking ahead the new season!

The final day of vloggercon2006 brings the end of this year’s notvloggercon.com. Here’s a wrap up of my take on vloggercon2006 as a remote participant.
Here’s the deal … Congress is voting on the COPE act THIS WEEK. The act in its current form will gut Net Neutrality. An amendment to fix this is also being voted upon. We need to tell Congress to support the bipartisan Sensenbrenner-Conyers Net Neutrality amendment (HR 5417) which passed the House Judiciary Committee last week with a powerful 20-13 bipartisan majority. We have to tell them if that fails, they must vote against the entire COPE bill.
I don’t make this suggestion lightly. I’m a Federally licensed Short Wave Radio operator (the red headed step child of the FCC) … The COPE act has some good stuff in it at long last for Short Wave Radio Operators … still here I am telling you, its not worth it to let this bill go through without net neutrality attached.
If the staffer is making a tally of constituent calls, make sure they have a category specifically for “Vote no on the COPE telecom law if it doesn’t protect Net Neutrality.” Otherwise, your representative may get a diluted message and miss the point.
If they ask for more details, you can urge your representative to support the bipartisan Sensenbrenner-Conyers Net Neutrality amendment (HR 5417) which passed the House Judiciary Committee last week with a powerful 20-13 bipartisan majority. And if that fails, they should vote against the entire bill.
If you get a voicemail option, leave a message. They will get it.
