Cinco de Mayo

This post filed under: Blog

Ok so it’s not really the 5th of May yet…but it’s close enough. Tonight big ol’ Cinco de Mayo party at Audra’s! Having just passed her bar tending class (with flying colors I might add) this will no doubt be one heck of a party!

For those of you who don’t know this already, Audra got LASIK done the day after I did (from a different doctor). So we have been comrades in … eyes… any how by tonight we are both likely to be drinking margaritas appreciating them with our new 20/20 vision.

On that front let me update you as well. I had my one week check up today. The doctor said every thing looks really really good and assured me that the bruises on my eyes will heal nicely in the near future. (Yes bruises…some of you have seem them…some of you haven’t. They are basically just some big red spots on the top of my eyes. Fairly normal - Audra has one herself.)

Today some person (I don’t think he was an actual Dr) gave me the Snellen chart test (you know that thing with the giant E and random letters at decreasing sizes on each line below it). Apparently I’m reading at “20/15-1″ which means I missed on letter on the 20/15 line. Not Bad! Now granted there is some guess work involved here (”looks like its probably a ‘b’”) but the important part is that 20/20 is pretty solid!

I’m also needing the moisture drops less and less. I still put them in every few hours because it feels good, and my eyes still get weary much more easily than before. But this too will get back to normal in time.

All in all… I’m very happy with my LASIK experience so far.
