Nice video David. Thanks for the wonderful views. I agree… it is amazing what’s out there in space, not to mention what’s here on this wacked planet. Oh… and regarding your previous video… congratulations on your massive success with applied quantum physics! You’re way ahead of me. Based on the view on your roof, I’m about 10 blocks north.
Your neighboor,
Curtis

To try to imagine the size of the universe is hypnotizing. Great video today.

I wonder what’s out there. Some people say nothing. I can’t understand that point of view. There are so many stars and each has its own planets but yet people say there isn’t a chance of intelligent life out there?!
Not that I ever think we’ll reach it and we probably shouldn’t. It’s too big of a thought for human beings to comprehend that we possibly aren’t the single greatest beings ever. Why God (if you believe in him) would only make one planet of beings is insane (not that I’m one to challenge god). If people think that this one planet, this one race, is the extent of God’s power, I pity them. I guess it kind of goes along with evolution as well though. People are too high and mighty to think we could have evolved even with all of the evidence just as they can’t admit that there is a strong chance that there is life out there. Genesis never states how God created life, it just says that he did. It could have happened through evolution. Though the Adam and Eve story does say how humans were made but there was no indication of how animals came to be. Anyways, I’m a little off topic.
Your video was one of the best I’ve seen this week. (and I’ve seen a LOT) It was well made and the way you roated the planets was genius.

That was really neat ! It was like our Senior Trip to the Planetarium except that this time I was in my own apartmentand I wasn’t buzzed off the vodka and orange juice consumed in the restroom.
We humans have a funny way of forgetting (or downright ignoring) the enormity of space. We’re so very teensy.
My favorite planet is Mercury. Poor Mercury. Always forgotten. Ask a random person to name the planets and Mercury is always last. Not the biggest or the smallest, or The One With Rings, or the one with the people on it, or the one there’s all that science-fiction about, or the one with the funny name that makes people laugh well into adulthood. Mercury is an underdog planet. I like an underdog. I also like The Mets.

What a nice break from the norm of daily video blogs… a beautiful reminder of what we take for granted everyday, seen or unseen.
